This group began a a joint project of the American Medical Writer's Association and the Society for Technical Communication. Since 2006, freelance medical and technical writers in the St Louis local area have been meeting for lunch (each person pays for their own meal) about every other month. The group re-named themselves "TechWriteSTL" in March 2013. All interested parties are encouraged to attend - contact Lisa Balbes (lisa@balbes.com) or Joanne McAndrews (joanne@joannemcandrews.com) to be added to the electronic mailing list.
